How it begun...

Hey everyone out there. A little inside to my profession. The kitchen is my other home, the place where i spend most of my time. I acquired a keen interest in the F&B line when i was only 14 years old, i worked part time for my uncle who owned a subway restaurant. I truly enjoyed my job there as I learned how to make sandwiches and also got to meet different people on a daily basis, hence i continued to work there for two years. After working in subway i moved on to expose myself to a different working environment. I got a job as a waiter in a north Indian cuisine restaurant. After three months, my manager noticed my interest in cooking and so transferred me to the kitchen as a kitchen helper. That gave me an opportunity to learn north Indian cuisine recipes. While I was working, I was also doing my N levels. After completing my N Levels I spent most of my off days experimenting on new and different recipes. I took the free time as an opportunity to practice and improve my skills as I discovered that I had a passion in cooking. As time went by, my mother encouraged me to take up a diploma in culinary skills. The idea appealed to me and so I went on to do my research on the possible institutes where I could take up my diploma which had relevance to my passion. In the end I settled with enrolling myself in SHATEC. I am and have always been a very positive individual thus my determination to venture further after I finish my diploma. I believe nothing comes easy. However, with a little effort and determination, anything is possible.
